Songbird

Songbird is an open-source media player characterized by smooth web integration. Any web developer can use Songbird's APIs to create sites that interact with this program.

Songbird also uses playlists to classify melodies. The song manager, called Media Hub, lets you quickly find tracks according to release date, artist, and album.

The interface can be integrated with web services such as SkreemR, where you can download thousands of MP3s for free. Songbird also includes its own web browser with tabs and a downloads manager designed especially for music content.

Songbird's interface can be customized using skins, and you can even extend its features with plugins developed by other users.
